Black Royal + Satanibator + Bitange - live report

Published on October 11th, 2016

Last Friday (07.10.2016) in our favourite night club Exit, was a completely different thing from our daily lifestyle. The evening started slow and easy like any other but for those who stayed until it ended it was nothing like that. The first event was a Stand-up comedy which started at 9 pm and after a short set up the night started at full speed.

The first band on the list were Bitange, a punk rock metal trio from Apatin who played for us all kinds of songs from their genre and more. They've celebrated the 30th anniversary of Slayer album "Raining Blood". This band surprised the crowd with an unusual remake of one of the old Balkanian hits "Srce nije kamen" from Toše Proeski.

The second band was Satanibator, heavy doom metal band from Finland tore the crowd apart with an exciting and interesting performance. Everyone had it's own thing, the singer, Saara, had amazing voice and intoxicating moves, the bass guitar player, Timo-Tuomas Suosalo, gave his performance a good dose of amusement combined with his talent and his positions and motions which really stood out from everything we have seen and the guitarist and drummer gave their songs fierceness and strength with their great talent.

The third band was Black Royal, the most serious band in the terms of style, music, movement and interaction with the audience. Their singer involved the audience in their show without any problem unlike most bands that play around these parts. The entire show got everyone headbanging alongside the band members which shows what the band has accomplished during their years on the music scene. These rockers and metalheads were last and the strongest "hit" because of their songs, their style and way too many toasts in the name of metal, beer and Slayer.

These nights in Osijek and its surrounding are becoming a rarity so shows like this should and definitely will be remembered. We should thank these bands for all of the time, effort and energy they gave us. They put on a great challenge for the next bands to come around here and do a better job than they have.
